Police Officer Dallas Hinton — Thomasville Police Department

Police Officer Dallas Hinton of the Thomasville Police Department was killed in the line of duty on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. He was 25 years old.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., Officer Hinton was driving his patrol vehicle northbound on U.S. 43 in Clarke County, near mile marker 90, when he struck the rear of a tractor-trailer traveling in the same direction. Officer Hinton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officer Hinton had served with the Thomasville Police Department for two years. Prior to law enforcement, he served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his father, two sisters, and his fiancée.

Police Chief Mitchell Stuckey confirmed the officer’s identity and spoke publicly about the loss.
