On Saturday, September 12, 2026, at around 9:35 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department Hollywood Patrol Division officers responded to a radio call of an ambulance cutting at a residence in the 9300 block of Warbler Way.
Inside, officers were directed to a man suffering from stab wounds and requested a rescue ambulance. They learned the suspect was in a bedroom with another man and was still armed with a knife. More officers arrived and a team was assembled to take him into custody.
According to LAPD, as the officers approached the bedroom they saw the suspect struggling with the other man over the knife and heard him saying he was going to kill him. Officers gave multiple commands to surrender. He refused, and an officer-involved shooting followed.
