The Milwaukee Police Department released body camera video of the September 30, 2026 officer-involved shooting in an alley in the 700 block of West Scott Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. MPD released it as two files on October 14, 2026. They play here in the order MPD published them, unedited.
According to MPD, at about 9:21 p.m. officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 1500 block of West Greenfield Avenue. Residents flagged officers down and pointed to dirt bikes leaving the area. Officers followed them to the alley in the 700 block of West Scott Street.
While investigating where the shots came from, officers saw a masked suspect carrying a rifle. MPD says he fled on foot. An officer tried to stop him and gave numerous commands to drop the weapon. He did not comply, and the officer discharged his duty weapon, striking him. A rifle was recovered next to the suspect.

The suspect, a 17-year-old male, was taken to a hospital with non-fatal injuries. The officer who fired is 26, with over three years of service, and was placed on administrative duty, which MPD says is routine in officer-involved shooting investigations.
MPD’s Homicide Division is investigating. Charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. MPD released the video under its Standard Operating Procedure 575 and calls the investigation fluid and ongoing.
