A domestic violence assault call on Friday, September 18, 2026 ended with a suspect barricaded in her apartment on Golf Drive South in Seattle’s Beacon Hill, and a judge’s warrant before SWAT went through the door. The Seattle Police Department released this body-worn camera video. The account below is the department’s own, from its release and the cards in the video.
At approximately 8 a.m., Seattle police officers responded to a report of a domestic violence assault with a weapon. The man who called was injured and was treated by the Seattle Fire Department and taken to a hospital. Patrol officers went to contact the suspect in an apartment; she barricaded herself inside.
Negotiators and members of SWAT arrived to assist. At approximately 11:45 a.m., officers obtained a warrant from a judge to make entry into the apartment, where they continued to talk to her.

The department says one officer fired, striking and injuring her, and that the same officer was injured by her before she was taken into custody. Officers rendered medical aid; the Seattle Fire Department took over and transported her to Harborview with non-life-threatening injuries. The officer was taken to a local hospital, treated and released.
The Independent Force Investigation Team of King County responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the independent investigation into the use of force.
